Dakshina Mukha Nandi Teertha Kalyani Kshetra is located in heart of the city in Malleswaram, Bangalore. This is absolutely a beautiful place to visit.

The main attraction of Dakshina Mukha Nandi Teertha Kalyani Kshetra temple is the water falls on Shiva Linga from the mouth of Nandi (Bull), the vehicle of Lord Shiva. The water then reaches to the holy Kalyani (tank) in front of the Lord.

Lord Shiva is called as Abhisheka Priya, that means Shiva always loves Abhisheka. At Dakshina Mukha Nandi Teertha Kalyani Kshetra in Malleswaram, uninterrupted abhisheka of water is done to Lord which comes from the mouth of Nandi.

In this temple, a container is kept directly above the Shiva Linga. The water falls from mouth of Nandi to the container, and then water falls on the Linga from a small hole made at the bottom of the container. Lord Shiva is pleased by the continuous Abhisheka.

Devotees carry this holy water to their house because this holy water used as medicine for various diseases. It is believed that one can get rid of the diseases by drinking this holy water or putting on the body if still diseases persist despite all kinds of medical treatments.

Dakshina Mukha Nandi Teertha Kalyani Kshetra is located at 15th cross, Malleshwaram.

This temple is surrounded by many other important temples like Gangamma Devi Temple, Kadu Malleshwara Temple and Lakshmi Narasimha Temple.

Temple Timings: 7:30 AM to 12 Noon and 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
