Bangalore city, the capital of Karnataka state in is one of the most important tourist centers of India.

The following are few tourist attractions in Bangalore.

Lalbagh: is a botanical garden, started by Hyder Ali. The 240-hectare park is home to over 1,000 species of flora. It also has a glass house. The park is known for its annual flower show in January and August. The garden surrounds one of the towers built by the founder of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda. The rock is another attraction of Lalbagh which dates back to 3000 million years.

Cubbon Park: is located in the center of the city and it has spread over 300 acres. The Cubbon Park was founded in the year 1884, by Major General Richard Sankey. The Cubbon Park houses many trees and plants covering more than 68 genera and 96 species. The park is also known for its kids train.

Vidhana Soudha: is the seat of the Legislature of the State of Karnataka. It is an imposing granite building, built in the year 1956 in the "Neo-Dravidian", incorporates elements of Indo-Moorish Rajasthani Jharokha and Dravidian styles. Vidhana Soudha is the prime attraction of Bangalore.

Attara Kacheri or the High Court of Karnataka: Located in front of the Vidhana Soudha, the Attara Kacheri is this red brick and stone building in the Greco-Roman style of architecture. It is the High Court for the state of Karnataka.

Visveshvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum: The museum was instituted as part of the centenary celebrations of the engineer-statesman Sir M. Visveshvaraya.

Bull Temple: The Bull temple is located at Basavanagudi and it was built by Kempe Gowda, it is reminiscent of the 16th century Dravidian style architecture. It has a huge granite monolith of Nandi.

ISKCON Temple: located at Chord Road, is built in an ornate architectural style, the Krishna Temple is a blend of modern technology and spiritual harmony. The 7-acre temple is finest fusion of modern and traditional elements of architecture.

The tourist attraction in Bangalore also includes Lakes in Bangalore. The lakes in Bangalore include Halasur lake, Sankey tank, Hesaraghatta lake, Yediyur lake and nagavara lake.
