Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka and one of the fastest growing cities in Asia. Bangalore is the anglicized version of Bengaluru or Bengalooru, the way it is pronounced in the local language Kannada. It is said that the word Bengalooru originated
from the corrupted version of word "Bendakaalooru" meaning "the city of baked-beans", as the color of the soil look like that of baked bean.
Bangalore was once under the kingdom of Vijayanagar. The Bangalore was founded by Kempa Gowda in 1537AD. Later, this was ruled by Tipu Sultan and other Mysore kings as well as the British. Bangalore
was a major military base during British rule.
One of the main attractions of Bangalore is the pleasant climate and moderate climate throughout the year. It is no too hot in summer and not too cold in winter. Bangalore weather features
of cool winters and warm summers, without any extremes in both the cases.
You can see a mixture of different Indian linguistic groups here. Most of the local people and shopkeepers will speak at least four languages. Bangalore is one of the very few cities in India,
