Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is prime attractions of Bangalore and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is one of the units of National Council of Science Museums an independent organization under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

During 1960's prominent industrialists planned to set up an industrial museum and therefore Visvesvaraya Industrial Museum society was established. The Building of Visvesvaraya Museum covers an area about 40,000 sq. ft area was constructed in Cubbon Park, Bangalore with the financial support of industrialists, Karnataka State Government as well as Government of India. Late Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the Visvesvaraya Museum in Bangalore on 11-Nov-1962.. The first gallery on "Electro Technic" was opened to the public on 27-July-1965.

In 1978 National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) an independent society was set up under the Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India.

A new 3D theater using technology from LightSpeed, USA is open to the public now. Interesting films on deep sea diving and brain are screened here. The 3d effects are amazing.

Timings of Visvesvaraya Museum Bangalore: 10 AM to 06 PM on all days (Except Ganesha Chaturthi and Deepavali)

The Visvesvaraya Museum in Bangalore is situated at Kasturba Road in the sylvan surroundings of Cubbon Park surrounded by stately buildings like Vidhana Soudha, High court etc. It is located at a distance of 5 km from City Railway and Kempegowda Bus station.

General Visitors: Rs.20/-
Students/Organized Groups: Rs.10/-
Taramandal Show: Rs.5/-
Science Demonstration Show: Rs.2/-
3D Film Show: Rs.10/ for school group, Rs. 20/- for general visitors

Entry to the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is free for the army, navy, air-force and police personnel in uniform and the physically challenged and children below 5 years of age.
